Bogart is the first son of the great Jorrit to be an
approved FPZV stallion. Bogart is out of Xanadu, a Model
mare and perhaps the finest moving Friesian we have
ever owned. Much is expected of Bogart based on his
bloodlines. His twin sister is our mare, Bacall.
Bogart has not
disappointed us and his potential is unlimited. His
trainer early on was Sabine Shut-Kery, who also trained
our other stallions. She told us that she thinks Bogie
is much more advanced than either Jorrit or Tinus were
at his age. She sees no reason why Bogie will not be
able to compete successfully at Grand Prix.
Bogie has a natural uphill build and is naturally engaged.
These inherited qualities allow him to be light on his
feet and extremely forward-moving.
After a one-year
break, Bogart is now back in a training regimen and
will again compete. In 2007 he will be competed at Second
and Third Levels. Our expectations are high, and he
has not disappointed us yet.
Bogie is sought
after for breeding because of his bloodlines but his
beauty, talent and temperament should never be overlooked.
