Because
the market for Friesian breeding and foals was initially so
limited, Proud Meadows usually did not advertise the typical
"catalog" of breeding stallions and available foals.
Instead we allowed ourselves the freedom to advertise the unique
qualities of the Forward Moving Friesian in general.
As
time went by, we provided proof of this valuable kind of Friesian
by announcing the accomplishments of our horses. The awards
were important because our Friesians proved themselves capable
of competing at the highest levels in open competition, not
because the winning stallions could breed more. In short, we
chose to advertise the idea of Forward Moving Friesians more
than the individual horses.
We
also tried to not take ourselves too seriously. After all, the
Forward Moving Friesian is about performance, beauty, and fun.
